The Gunung Batur (1,750m) is an active volcano located near two concentric calderas northwest of Ubud, along Danau Batur lake - the largest lake in Bali. The hike is intense, aprox 5 hours round trip, BUT the scenery is unforgetable. We started our hike at 4am and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise at the top of the main caldera. Definetely worth the sweat!
